They also supply a range of handicrafts. Natural products are products derived from naturally occurring resources, harvested from the wild by rural producers. The harvesting of natural products adds diversity to the income of rural people, decreasing their reliance on the success and value of a single crop. It also provides work for those not engaged in farming, making use of their existing knowledge and skills, and harnessing their productive potential for the benefit of themselves and the environment. Fair trade practices ensure that they receive the full value of their labor, and command fair prices for their produce. They work in partnership with a Zimbabwean non-governmental organization, the Southern Alliance for Indigenous Resources (SAFIRE) SAFIRE main focus is on improving rural livelihoods through improved management and utilization of the natural resource base.
