Interface Trading came into existence to provide agricultural inputs to small-scale producer groups in Senegal and the sub-region, also to support them by marketing their products at the international market. It is also involved in organizing training. Its three major areas of interest are, International Trade Regulations; Lobbying governments and international trade institutions; Promotion of Fair Trade in the francophone area of West Africa.

The idea behind the formation of the organization was to provide small producers with agricultural inputs (seeds, chemicals and fertilizers) in a fair and sustainable manner. Only some big transnational companies could supply these agricultural inputs whereby they had bad practices particularly their retail prices were excessive, this really damaged small producer’s growth potential.

At Interface they have reduced retail prices of 35% for seeds and chemicals .Now Interface is also producing fresh fruits and vegetables to the domestic mainstream market, and for export to EU countries. Production is partnership program with small producers.

Their mission is to assist small scale producers in their daily economical efforts to get out of poverty by reinforcing their production capacities and giving them market opportunities.
Goals and objectives of the organizations are to improve economical status of small producers, promote FT in Senegal and the sub region.
